On December 8, the Corvallis School District School Renaming Task Force met virtually for meeting #7. The task force has reviewed the names of the remaining school district buildings to determine if they will recommend a name change for any buildings beyond Husky, Jaguar, and Wildcat Elementary Schools. This process is ongoing and will be part of the January 2021 recommendation to the superintendent.
Public input on the 20 potential names developed by the task force will be accepted through December 14, 2020, via an online form. The task force has not yet identified potential names for specific schools but may do so in their final recommendation to the superintendent.
An additional meeting has been added on December 15, 2020, for the task force to continue this work.
The task force members are required to provide recommendations of names for the three schools (Husky, Jaguar, Wildcat Elementary Schools) that meet specific criteria:
