Thank you Classified Employees!

A message from Superintendent Ryan Noss

This is Classified Staff Appreciation Week and we produced a video in honor of all of our 454 Classified Employees.

As superintendent, I am fortunate to spend time in all of our buildings throughout the year, and I get to see our classified staff hard at work.  I’m so proud of the work that we are accomplishing together.  There are so many different positions that it’s hard to list them all here, so I’ve called out a few broad categories.

• We are lucky to have such a great team of campus stewards and custodial and maintenance staff who make sure our schools are clean, safe, warm, and presentable. Whether they are replacing a lock, painting a wall, mowing a lawn, or cleaning up after the lunch period, their contributions are vital to the work of our district.
• In our classrooms, hallways, and playgrounds, our educational assistants, family advocates, and specialists provide students with care and attention. There are times that the support they provide makes the difference between a good day and a bad day in the life of our students.
• Our central kitchen and school kitchens are a point of pride in our district. From freshly baked lunch rolls and a locally-sourced salad bar to meals that are served with a smile, CSD food services staff help our students to be healthy and ready to learn.
• Where would we be without our staff who work with numbers and data? Registrars, fiscal clerks, accountants, payroll and benefits staff, assessment technicians, technology support staff and many more.  They help keep the district humming so that students have the best possible chance for success.
• And last but certainly not least, administrative assistants and office managers are the front line in our relationships with families and the community. From keeping departments and schools organized and running efficiently to keeping track of administrators and a mountain of ever-changing details, we would be lost without their important skills.
