Board Member Brandy Fortson resigned their position effective November 9, 2019. The board declared the position vacant on November 12, 2019; on November 14, 2019 the board approved the process to appoint an interim director for Position 6. The term of this appointment begins January 16, 2020 and expires on June 30, 2021.
All school board positions are at-large and do not represent a specific geographic area of the district. Board members are volunteers, not employees of the school district. Candidates must be a qualified voter of the district and a resident within the school district for one year as of January 16, 2020. Current employees of the school district or a public charter school within the district are not eligible to serve on the school board. The selection process will take place at the January 16, 2020 school board meeting. Applicant information must be received by 5:00 pm, December 11, 2019.
