In 2022, the Corvallis School District did a communications review to see if staff, families, and community members are getting the information they want and need from our district. Part of this review looked at the district’s website. Staff, families, and community members shared that the website:
- Is text-heavy
- Is hard to navigate
- Makes it hard to find important information
- Impersonal and not engaging
- Does not help increase knowledge of the district’s vision, mission, goals, plans, and finances
Website Goals
Having accurate and reliable information on our website that is easy to find helps our district to be clear and transparent. It also helps ensure people visiting the website can find the information they are looking for. Our website should also clearly tell the stories of our district, staff, students, and families.
Based on this feedback, the district is prioritizing revising the district website with the following goals.
Our Corvallis School District Website will be:
- Easy to navigate
- Informative
- Accurate
- Welcoming and engaging
