Children who will be 5 years old as of September 1, 2018 are eligible to enroll in kindergarten at the school in their boundary area. In order to complete the enrollmen process, parents will need to provide the following:
- Proof of the child’s birth date
- A copy of the child’s immunization record
- Name and phone number of the child’s physician
- Three emergency contacts for the child
- Address verification
Each of the district’s elementary schools will hold a Kindergarten Information Night on Tuesday, March 6 from 5:30-6:30 pm; during the open houses, principals and kindergarten teachers will discuss ways to prepare children for kindergarten, as well as answer questions.
Franklin K-8 will hold an information night for grades K-8 on the same night; the meeting will take place from 6:30-7:30 pm. Franklin is the district’s only non-neighborhood boundary school and is open for transfers for all grade levels for the 2018-19 school year.
