Teaching and Learning Staff Training

Project GLAD (Guided Language Acquisition Design) is an instructional model that aims to help educators provide differentiated strategies to integrate instruction of grade-level content for a diverse population of learners including emergent bilinguals. Summer 2019 will be our third year of GLAD training which will take place in Corvallis.

2019 Project GLAD Summer Training

This is a six-day training opportunity for educators. Participants must attend all days of training. (6 days total)

  • 2 days research and theory
  • 4 days demonstration lessons. The demonstration is a unique opportunity for teachers to observe students utilizing the strategies with a Project GLAD trainer.

During the afternoons of the demonstration, participants will be able to start planning and preparing materials to use in their classroom right away to effectively support application and implementation.  Follow-up support is also an integral part of this training.
